Whether you run your own small business or work in a larger, corporate environment our Accounting Software courses will help you learn important new skills or fine tune your exisiting ones.

Our class size is small, 10 to 14 students, allowing our instructors to give students the attention they need. Our friendly hands-on approach is a productive way to help students move on to the next level.

With each course we have listed any prerequisites that are needed. To get the most out of your learning experience, be sure to pay careful attention to these.

  • For courses requiring textbooks, they are included in the cost of the course and will be provided in class.

QuickBooks Pro, Introduction
Designed for entry-level accounting, this course integrates using QuickBooks Pro while being introduced to basic accounting principles. This hands-on approach allows the student to learn QuickBooks Pro while actually doing the accounting for a fictional company. Among topics to be covered:

  • Cash and checking
  • Sales and customers
  • Purchases and vendors
Prerequisite: Computers Made Simple, Windows, or equivalent experience and basic knowledge of bookkeeping

QuickBooks Pro, Advanced
This course picks up where Introduction to QuickBooks Pro leaves off. Here the course will shift focus to a day-to-day operation of a fictitious company utilizing virtually all of the menus and options extensively. There will be in increased level of accounting learning procedures and entries necessary to process the daily activities. Processes learned in the Introduction class will be delved into much further. Some topics include:

  • Banking transactions
  • Advanced invoicing
  • Inventory management
  • Custom reporting

Prerequisite: Windows or equivalent, QuickBooks Pro Introduction or equivalent experience, basic understanding of accounting
