How to Log on and Run a Lesson in Academic Systems

How to Log on

Go to the PLATO Log on page: http://asalgebra.platoweb.com (opens a new window)

Before you can begin working in the Academic Systems Algebra lessons, verify the following:

Account Login is:   nvcc

PLATO Name is:   First 5 letters of your last name + last 3 digits of your Student ID
        Examples:
              Janet Smith, Banner ID: 12345678
              Plato ID: smith678

              Martha Hu, Banner ID: 87654321
              Plato ID: hu321

Password: student

How to Run a Lesson

Follow these steps to run lessons from the PLATO Learning Environment online.

Method 1

Click the course name link (next to Assignment) to view the lessons. If it is grayed out, you cannot yet start your course.

Assignments Reminder

Section	:	Course section name
Assignment	:	MATHxyz Course Name and description
Due on	:	Last Day that course may be accessed

Method 2

Starting from the Home page, click the Assignment button at the top of the page.
If necessary, choose the Course in which you are enrolled. Finally, from the list that is displayed, choose your Section. The course and section may appear by default.
Click Show Me.
A list of all available Assignments will be displayed.
Click the Open button next to the Assignment you want to view.
Navigate through the Assignment by clicking the green navigation letters and numbers.
