On March 5, 2008 from 9:00am-3:00pm, the NVCC Student Government Association will be hosting a “Lock Up” to earn money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Participants will be “locked up” in the Prism Lounge, fed bread and water (lunch will also be provided) and won’t be released until they meet their bail agreement:
· A personally pledged amount of time has passed.
Or
· A personally pledged amount of money has been collected.
Volunteers/Prisoners can earn donations in a variety of ways, so feel free to get creative!
If you or someone you know would be interested in participating or getting arrested, please contact a SGA Officer at 203-596-2185 or stop by S516.
The Detention Center will provide office phones, restrooms, bread and water
Suggestions:
·
You may want to procure some (or all) donations
prior to “incarceration”
· Bring along a cell phone/address book for names and numbers of people you can call.

Warrant Application
Put out a warrant for a student or co-worker:
The student or staff member must know and agree to come to the detention center and “make bail” prior to the arrest.
Ø The warrant will either put you in jail for an hour
or
Ø You can post bail by matching the price of the warrant for immediate release.
The prices for the warrants are:
A minimum of $10.00 for Students
and a minimum of $20.00 for Faculty and Staff
Please fill out this paperwork and return it to the SGA office by Feb 20th if you would like to put out a warrant for someone’s arrest. The person issuing the warrant must sign along with the person who is being arrested so that we are sure we won’t inconvenience anyone unnecessarily.
