Our basic computer classes are designed for individuals with little
to no computer experience. Our class size is small, 10 to 14 students,
allowing our instructors to give students the attention they need.
Our friendly, hands-on approach is a productive way to learn basic
computers skills.
With each course we have listed any prerequisites
that are needed. To get the most out of your learning experience,
be sure to pay careful attention to these.
Please Note:
- Not all classes run every semester. Check the current catalog for course schedule.
- For courses requiring textbooks, they are included in the cost of the course and will be provided in class.
- Students are responsible for supplying their own disks.

Internet
Never been on the Internet and want to learn how to navigate your
way around this vast network of networks? Learn all about the Internet
and how to:
- Use search engines
- Download files and programs using FTP
- Send and receive Email
- Download and use Adobe Acrobat Reader for PDF files
In-class assignments allow you to search for and find specific
information.

Using WinZip
Have you ever downloaded or received a file that ends in ZIP and
have not known what to do with it? Have you ever needed to transport
a file, or a group of files, from one location to another only to
find that it will not all fit on one disk? If these problems sound
at all familiar, then this three hour overview will definitely be
of interest to you. Using WinZip:
- Learn how to get a handle on file sizes for document storage
or sending files via email
- Become familiar with the concept if file compression and decompression
- Learn how compressed files play a part in the Internet and
email
- Create self extracting compressed files
