A
Hiking Experience:
Taking to the Trail
Discover the world of
hiking as we learn how to find our way and
put our skills to the trail. Start with a
required classroom overview and discover
how to read trail markers, map your route,
and the importance of clothing choice.
Understanding proper breathing methods and
basic outdoor safety and first aid will be
at the top of our list. Then take to the
trail on our planned hikes. Here is an opportunity
to share life’s rich rewards and learn
about the world around us while keeping physically
fit. All hiking details will be covered
during the classroom session. Directions
will be provided in class. Hikers will
carpool from the college.
