Kayaking

Kayaking for Beginners

Have you noticed all those kayaks on top of cars whizzing by you on the highway? Wonder why kayaking is gaining such popularity? Here’s your chance to find out. First attend a classroom session, and then take to the water for some hands-on instruction with expert instructors from Collinsville Canoe & Kayak. Learn various paddle strokes and techniques, safety issues, and proper clothing selection. This is a fun and safe opportunity to discover why kayaking is one of America’s fastest growing water sports. The rental of equipment is included in the cost of the course. Both paddling sessions will be held on flatwater sections of the Farmington River in Collinsville, CT. Directions will be provided in class. Class size is limited, so sign up early.
