Family Beginning Caving
Ages 8 & Older

Join us as we explore the mysterious pas-sages of Tory’s Cave in New Milford, crouching and crawling (just a wee bit) in this fabulous and cool underground environment. This 2+ hour program covers safety issues, cave facts (and fiction) and helmets. Flashlights are required. Students are responsible for their own transportation to New Milford, CT. An informational packet containing directions and an overview of the day will be mailed prior to the activity.

Family Astronomy

Come with your child and explore astronomy together using one of Connecticut’s best observatories. Our popular course is designed to introduce you to the wonders of the night sky. Parents learn with their children and explore the heavens together. Concentrate on observing constellations, "deep sky" objects, and seeing the moon up close. Learn celestial coordinates and other observation techniques. We have placed our order for good weather; however, rain dates may be necessary and will be arranged in class.
